General Guidance, Not Advice

Everything published on this site is general information about the tax and funding position of childcare businesses and nanny employers. It is not advice on your own affairs and it does not create a client relationship. Two nurseries of the same size can be in very different positions depending on their funded-to-private mix and how they are set up. Do not act on a page here without having your own position looked at.

We do not sell tax-avoidance schemes, and nothing on this site is advice on investments or pensions. Tidy Money Ltd is regulated by the ACCA and holds no Financial Conduct Authority permission. The funded-hours content refers to England; Scotland and Wales run their own childcare funding systems.

Figures and Dates

Rates, thresholds and dates are taken from GOV.UK and HMRC manuals, and carry the date they were last checked, shown in the footer and at the top of each guide. Childcare funding has changed repeatedly, so check the current position, and note that early-years funding rates vary by area and are not quoted here as a single figure.
